For irrigation schemes Brendon has experience designing water race and pipeline systems, fish screening and water storage dams. His CAD and modelling  skills complement his knowledge of hydraulics and pumping.    

On farm infrastructure includes farm layout, culverts and structures, water storage, dairy effluent systems, feedpads and composting barn design. Brendon’s trouble shooting and performance evaluation skills utilise his ability to analyse and understand issues and put them in context of the farm system that the infrastructure supports.   

Brendon has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Soil Science. He has completed the NZ and Australian irrigation design qualifications and  farm dairy effluent design certification   

Brendon has  the advanced sustainable nutrient management certification,  the advanced farm environment planning certification and the advanced soil conservation certification from Massey University.   

Brendon’s role in Matai is to lead the design and engineering team and to make sure Matai runs smoothly.
